Life Changes - the world moves on.

Hello again Blog of mine.

Lets start with the bad and move to the good.

Bad - Joe and I have separated. I know ~gasp~. Believe me I know. However, we made a very tough decision so that we could remain friends. Now before minds get wandering too far - no one cheated or stuff. Just grew apart.

The kids took it hard but are strong and Joe and I are helping by having family dinner every Sunday. (Which is more than we did together). The kids go to Joe's every other weekend and the kids get one-on-one time - every Tuesday night JT goes and hangs with dad, and on Thursday nights dad hangs with Hannah.

Good - JT made the B honor roll!!! Hannah also has great grades. JT is planning to join track and field. Hannah just tried tennis (thanks Mona) and LOVES it.

For me... I have been playing soccer, and have plans to play softball this spring.

And finally as you all know I must always be planning a trip - so the kids and I are going on a Carnival Cruise in December! I am so excited. More details on that to come.

Time flies when you are having fun!!!

So it has been a while since I have written. There have been exciting times over the past few months and I will fill you in on some of the items.

I am not the mother of a middle school aged child. He is playing the double bass (upright) and feeling overwhelmed often at the amount of homework.
Hannah took this year off of dance and cheer leading to try a new sport - fast pitch softball. She is amazing!!!

As for me... I am surviving day by day. I miss singing so I am actively looking for a group to sing with.

Anyway I will update more soon!

We went to Ketchikan to see family and attend James Sears (Joe's Dad) memorial. We also traded our van for a car. Long story.... maybe later.

Cooking part 2

So the second Sunday we made "Oeufe Brouilles" (scrambled eggs). Hannah thought she should smell her cooking and then didn't like it... Funny! JT made dessert tonight and it was great - JELLO (not Julia - but great).

Mastering the art of French ... Patience

Hannah and I saw the movie "Julie/Julia" last week and now Hannah wants to cook. We bought the book featured in the movie "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child. Today we cooked our first dishes from the BOOK. The first is the very first recipe - Potage Parmentier (Leek & Potato Soup) and for dessert - Peches Cardinal (Compote of Fresh Peaches with Raspberry Puree). Hannah did most of the work... it was good. The little chef didn't like the soup - but the rest of us loved it.
